​Hi, I'm Emily Ventura-- founder of Happy Canine Pet Care (HCPC) and long time animal lover based in North County San Deigo. I provide pet sitting, dog walking, overnight, and day care with a focus on creating a calm, balanced, and safety first environment for your fur baby.

My love for animals started early. Growing up, my neighbor was and still is a professional dog trainer who often brought me along during her sessions. Watching her work with dogs and clients alike sparked a passion in me that would later grow into what is now Happy Canine Pet Care. Later down the line I also got into horseback riding and found that the principles between interacting and training the two animals were actually pretty similar. I learned that communication, trust, body language, and presence were the cornerstones of a good relationship with any animal and that if you stay consistent, than the most amazing bond will form.

Currently I am working towards becoming a certified dog trainer myself! During this process Happy Canine gives me the opportunity to do what I love -- provide family like care to your pets to enjoy and for you to trust.
